Many feels and emotion poured into this one, back in 2012 when I first returned back to Vancouver BC after many years of travel and exploration. It was a challenging and lengthy transition back into 'ordinary' western living.
lyrics
Dawn breaks, another darken day,
Convention and habit are here to stay
It seems no light at the end of the road
No magical myths left to be told
The crow sits perched on the telephone wire
The leaves on the trees red as fire
And emptiness fills the depths of my heart
Seams of sanity have come apart
No no, light is shining through
No no, light, will be left for you
Drop down to your knees
Someday you'll see past those pearly gates
Get to know the devil inside
Laugh at yourself cuz its, just a ride
Playing the game, creating a life
For a while things feel alright
Then the silence cuts through the night
Take a deep breath and, Open your eyes
Oh oh light, please show us the way
Oh oh light, are you hear to stay ?
*solo
Oh oh light, running through my veins
Oh oh light, bringing love to everything
Oh oh light, making lighter the pain
Oh oh light ooh
